EP099 – Fantastic Four (1994)

Episode 99 is a doozie. Some might call it a wet fart…well…everyone but Pete calls it a wet fart. To celebrate the new Fantastic Four movie we dive into the unreleased 1994 version made by the great Roger Corman. Why was it unreleased? Why did we watch it? Why is Pete still allowed to pick movies? All these questions and more may or may not be answered in this episode.

Pat Daily is sadly no longer with us but he lives on in our memories. Hazy alcohol fueled Put-in-Bay memories but memories still the same. This is the song we reference every show when Pete get’s it right. Just How Drunk are we Gonna Get?

We continually reference Doomed: The Untold Story of Roger Corman’s The Fantastic Four and the entire cast is in agreement that this documentary is way more entertaining than the film.

EP098 – King Solomon’s Mines – (1985)

GBBMN joins forces with Give Me Back My Action and Horror Movies for THE MONTH OF ACTION and Pete picked a movie that he will regret for years to come. King Solomon’s Mines was admittedly a childhood favorite but through adult eyes is one of the most stomach turning racist and misogynistic we have ever covered on this show. Boy do we suffer for Pete’s decision.

EP090 – Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008)

For the first time in my life, alcohol has failed me. That’s not really true but the first time I watched BHC I was three margaritas in and it hit that funny bone just right. Did the movie hold up to a more sober mindset? Tune in and see…or hear…whatever. You know what I mean.

Pete’s musical hero, Pat Daily, would be proud (maybe?) of the rendition of “Tell Them You’re From Ohio (Key West version)” off his album “Live and Kickin’.” Pat is no longer with us but my memories and his music will live on inside me forever. I dearly miss that man.

EP075 – Speed 2 (1997) with Give Me Back My Action Movies

Charlie and Nate from Give Me Back My Action and Horror Movies join us. Pete and Troy have been moonlighting over on their podcast and we finally got them on our show. Six podcast hosts = chaos. Enjoy.

We got a fun Millie report from Kathleen. She’s always good for a great laugh.

I need everyone to find your best Twister movie memes and start sending them to Troy. It’s a trigger for him and since I doubt he will read this it’ll be a great joke. Troy HATES Twister and about 20 minutes into the recording he bonks his computer when Dave mention the film causing Troy’s recording to stop. We got it back up and running but there’s a hard cut.

Charlie visited Katbird’s Wine and Gourmet Shoppe in Abington, Va to pick up his beer since Pete is a dumbass. If you’re in the area check them out.

Nate has been described as having boarder collie energy. You be the judge.

Featured beer:
I have to give Charlie credit for coining the phrase, “Not all the movies are bad and not every beer is good.” This month is a great example of how true a statement can be. Nate hated one of my most favorite beers ever which just proves “you like what you like” and I’m not here to tell you that you’re wrong.

Lexington Brewing Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale

Six pack rating:
Dave – 3
Kathleen – 3
Troy – 3
Pete – 4
Charlie – 1
Nate – 2

EP068 – Death Spa (1988)

  • Happy New Year, listener, welcome to 2023. The question for our first episode of the year is, Has Pete picked the most perfect movie for GBBMN? Does this movie completely embody the the essence and the spirit of GBBMN? Has Kathleen reached a new level of loathing for the show and more specifically Pete for selecting this film? Was it worst than “The Swarm?” These questions and more will all be answered.
  • Pete is still the Six minute synapsis. Can he keep his record perfect?
  • Speaking of the Six Minute Synapsis, the best joke of the bit is lost when the cast thinks the mention of “PE” is for physical education and not premature ejaculation. There’s a damn good joke down the drain.
  • Getting stuck in the Denver International gave Pete PTSD but we tried to make the best of it by poking fun of Southwest Airlines. Assholes.
  • Not wiping down gym equipment after your sweaty ass is done with it is an affront to god. Please wipe down the machines, you mongoloid.
  • Inspired by the health spa, Kathleen brought the boys some genuine Spa Eye Patches. Check Facebook and Instagram to see how ridiculous the boys look.
  • Pete needs to turn in his pulp fiction membership card. Tarzan was NOT created by Robert E. Howard but rather Edgar Rice Burroughs. Pete is a dummy.
  • The cast made some new friends and hope you head over to listen to their show.

EP057 -Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell (2018)

Otherwise entitled “Tremors in the snow” by Kathleen. She’s not wrong.

Pete’s under the weather and sounds like a muppet. That said it seems that we had some unexpected technical issues from the recording. One of these days we’ll grow up and become a REAL podcast.

Somehow there are 7 Tremors movies. Baffling and wonderful all at the same time.

The boys set up a game for Kathleen and that she proceeded to ace disappointing Pete who thought he was so clever. Try again loser.

Congratulations to Dan and Brennon for 10 flipping years of Corrupted Youth Podcast. Go check out this father and son duo.

– Kathleen: 5
