Joining the legion of podcasters for the 2026 Month of Action (pew pew pew), GBBMN celebrates in our own special way by having Christmas in July. In actuality, we’re making up for all getting sick at the same time and not getting an ACTUAL Christmas movie out. Tonight we are joined by one of our besties and returning holiday co-host, Katie.
Katie is our resident Subject Matter Expert on Hallmark movies. she is not a Smurf, Snork, Orc or Spork, she is in fact a bona fide SME in all things Hallmark Holiday movie related. We don’t kink shame here on GBBMN, but we will judge your life’s choices.
Not sure it came across but Pete’s orange colored banana story is bullshit. Not sure if anyone caught it.
Please head over to your favorite podcatcher or social platform to check out all the Month of Action (pew pew pew) shows all July long. It’s a lot of work but worth every minute.
Note: The second beer is a 10% ABV and if you stick around long enough you’ll hear the entire case descend into a madness that hasn’t been achieved in a long time. Enjoy?
Not since the Critters 2 lost episode have the boys recorded without Kathleen but life happens and adulting is hard. The show immediately goes off the rails without her matriotic leadership.
I know. I know. We stole Charlie’s “Wheel of Pain” bit over at Give Me Back My Action and Horror movies. Can’t blame me for stealing a good idea. Well, I suppose you can but neither of us are making any money off this podcasting hobby so suing us would be silly. Also, please don’t sue us. Dave gives up a six minute synopsis that makes us wish we were watching any other movie….except The Swarm. The Swarm…..gross. As painful as Battleship is to watch, it’s not the colossal turd The Swarm turned out to be.
One of Pete’s favorite directors, Alex de la Iglesias, brings in the New Year with a GOOD movie about the filming a NYE TV special. There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe the chaos surrounding the taping. The whole cast urges you to head over to Tubi and treat yourself to this bonkers movie.
Pete dodged a bullet with this one as his friendship with Kathleen would surely have ended since there is a scene midway through the film that caused us all to gag. Seriously, I challenge you NOT to throw up a little in your mouth after this scene.
We don’t get to have guests very often and we get the delight to host the maniacs at Bad Movies Worse People Podcast. They were kind enough to send us a beer from a local brewery in Arizona.
Pete continues his dominance over the Six-Minute Synopsis .
Episode 99 is a doozie. Some might call it a wet fart…well…everyone but Pete calls it a wet fart. To celebrate the new Fantastic Four movie we dive into the unreleased 1994 version made by the great Roger Corman. Why was it unreleased? Why did we watch it? Why is Pete still allowed to pick movies? All these questions and more may or may not be answered in this episode.
Pat Daily is sadly no longer with us but he lives on in our memories. Hazy alcohol fueled Put-in-Bay memories but memories still the same. This is the song we reference every show when Pete get’s it right. Just How Drunk are we Gonna Get?
GBBMN joins forces with Give Me Back My Action and Horror Movies for THE MONTH OF ACTION and Pete picked a movie that he will regret for years to come. King Solomon’s Mines was admittedly a childhood favorite but through adult eyes is one of the most stomach turning racist and misogynistic we have ever covered on this show. Boy do we suffer for Pete’s decision.
For the first time in my life, alcohol has failed me. That’s not really true but the first time I watched BHC I was three margaritas in and it hit that funny bone just right. Did the movie hold up to a more sober mindset? Tune in and see…or hear…whatever. You know what I mean.
Pete’s musical hero, Pat Daily, would be proud (maybe?) of the rendition of “Tell Them You’re From Ohio (Key West version)” off his album “Live and Kickin’.” Pat is no longer with us but my memories and his music will live on inside me forever. I dearly miss that man.
WOW! Troy REALLY hates this movie and he makes a great argument for his vitriol. Pete says this is a kaiju movie as argues the tornado has some sort of sentience. Dave’s wife Donna joins us for a rollercoaster conversation not to be missed.
